TheMBW CALIBRATION™MODEL 573™Dew Point Chilled Mirror Analyzeris a high performance 19″ rack format instrument that is very well suited to fixed industrial installations. The MODEL 573 is equipped with an integral measurement head, pressure sensor, sample pump and flow meter for continuous precision monitoring of frost/dew point and absolute humidity values across a wide range of applications.

The MODEL 573 is very similar in specification to the MODEL 973 but adds the capability to measure dew points above the ambient temperature thanks to versions with heated measuring heads and sampling tubes. A special option on the MODEL 573H and ODEL 573HX variants is an automated steam trap that provides user-controlled draining of condensation collected during operation at dew points up to 95˚C.

It uses a chilled mirror sensor to measure dew point temperature, which is the temperature at which moisture in a gas condenses into liquid form.

        Heated Hoses

        When measuring dew point above ambient temperature, condensation will form in sample lines where the tube/hose temperature is below the dew point temperature. Heated sample hoses solve this problem by maintaining the tube temperature at a higher temperature. MBW supply heated sample hoses in a range of lengths and fittings to suit most applications.

        The heated hose only provides sample path heating upto the inlet connection of the instrument. To avoid condensation inside the instrument, its internal sample path and measuring head must also be heated.
